Default MM build for pvp

i need a minion master build for pvp that has been tested and is affective.

mostly for random arena. i have the expansions up to nightfall.

also how do you make your minions stay for the next round?

some times i fight necros that start with 2 minion.

Unless you use aura of the lich elite you have to wait till something dies before you are even useful. Stay away from MM builds in pvp.

AotL in JQ is relatively effective ... Wait til somebody caps a shrine so you've got plenty of nice corpses then run in with AotL. Hey presto! Army! Either sit tight there and defend or book it over to the next mine to cause some havock. You will die. The minions will turn hostile to everybody. But that's much less of a problem in JQ since there are more npc's on the map than players.

Its not half bad in FA either on either side - given, its usually a lot more useful to Luxons. Kurzicks you're better off just running amber. Luxon side though, you can cause a decent amount of panic if you manage to swamp an extra army of minions in where the defenders are already stressed. Minions are the perfect counter to any Soul Twisting rits (used on kurz side) since minions on either side completely waste shelter/union/displacement.

For RA (or any other non-CM) Chthon is entirely correct: Don't.
Also, for RA you can not take your minions between rounds.

Its why i often take verta's aura/gaze. xD

This is the best MM build so far that I've ever used, due to it's great ability to survive.
Now it has some counters ofcourse, such as enchantment removal, but I notice that it's not that many that brings enough to take off your 4 enchantments. The build is mainly made to spam minions and at the same time keep you alive, since they usually kill the minion master first.

Head: Bloodstained Insigna + Rune of Superior Death magic
Chest: Survivor + Superior Vigor

Hands: Blessed Insigna + Soulreaping +1


You can swap your 5 blood to 3 and give you higher of anything else you want. But the idea is to keep Dark Bond up, or else you will die quite fast.

The concept behind that build was to reduce damage so far that you could regen faster than hits could come in. This supported a picking-on-idiots playstyle for AB, since you could usually get a few people determined to waste the entire match trying in vain to kill you. As long as you could keep 2+ opponents wasting their time on just 1 of you, you gave the rest of your team an advantage in capping.

The old AotL was crucial to this build because of the 50% damage reduce. Without that, you are quite killable, and the point of the build is lost.

The only PvP where minion masters are useful are AB, JQ, and Fort Aspenwood.

If you plan to PvP on Codex Arena, Random Arena, GvG, or Heroes Ascent, then a minion master build is not a good idea.

But like others said, I would suggest Aura of the Lich. It not only gives one free minion at the start, but also boosts your Death Magic attribute to 1, thus making your minions stronger. Also, with a lot of corpses going on in AB, Aura of the Lich can exploit ALL the corpses in earshot shot range.

But seriously, I would mostly use minion master builds for PvE purposes and avoid them for PvP. If you want a good necro build, I suggest degen pressure builds or SS pressure.
